STEP 1: Open file & Cut
Open a new canvas in design space and upload the png template file. After opening, save the file in your projects. This wallet design allows to use two colors. So, first decide the color combination you want to make. For this project, I am using silver and light blue colored leather material.
The dimension of the unfolded wallet after the cut is 3.75″(w)x 6.367″(h). The size of the strip is 0.675″(w)x5.725″(h). This size wallet can fit credit/debit cards & your business cards. You can even adjust this size to fit your phone.
Click “make it”.
Material setting : Each material needs different setting. So, please do a test cut before doing the final piece.
Silver faux leather – Felt wool bonded & fine point blade. This faux leather had felt backing. This is the setting that worked for me all the time for this particular material and thickness.
Blue faux leather – This one had bonded faux leather with different texture on both sides. Use this setting if you are using a Deep point blade – ‘Speed: 275 & Multicut: Off’. If you only have a fine point blade, use the same felt wool bonded setting but you have to do a additional manual cut to remove the piece off.
Place the material with good side facing down and secure with masking tapes on a standard grip mat. Its very important to secure with making tapes even if you use a strong grip mat.
STEP 2: Fold & Secure
First fold 2.25″ from the bottom as shown in first image below. Then position the strip and glue it with E6000. Secure everything with masking tape and wait until glue dries.
STEP 3: SNAP FASTENER INSTALLATION
For this step, you need the installation kit. To install, first poke a hole with weeding tool to mark where you want the button to be placed. Then use the punch tool to make a hole for inserting the fastener. Then, just follow the instructions that came along with the kit to install the snap fastener. Make sure you do this on a hard surface.
No sew Card Wallet
The size of this wallet is designed to fit credit/debit cards, business cards and folded cash. You can even resize it, to use it as a phone cover. This is not intended to hold coins. You can make it in any color you want, personalize it with names and gift to your family and friends.
