🎄 2022 holiday season is on the horizon and I am making a bunch of easy DIYs that will make a wonderful gift idea 🎁. And, this DIY wood Napkin holder is one of them. Napkin holder is an useful item to gift someone. Most of us have napkins tucked somewhere in the room to clean-up the mess we make. So, why not make it NICE and display it as a part of the table décor. All you need to make this Wood napkin holder is a basic cutting tool that can be a circular saw or jig saw or miter saw or even a miter box if you do not own a power tool. Other than this, you need wood glue, sand paper and stain or paint.
MATERIALS & TOOLS USED:
- 3/4 inch square dowel – 3ft long
- Wood glue – Quick dry would be better
- Feed n wax – wood sealer
- Miter saw
- Sandpaper or Sanding block

This DIY is one of the projects I make in below video. Watch Napkin holder build at 6.12mins.
DIY Wood Napkin Holder
STEP – 1:
Grab a 3/4 inch square dowel. Cut 4 nos of 5-1/2 inch long pieces with 45 degree angle on one end and 2 nos of 2-1/2 inch long pieces.
STEP – 2:
Sandwich the small piece between the two long ones, aligning it to the straight ends and glue them together. You need to make two sets as shown below. To speed up the process, I added pin nails. Alternatively, you can use quick dry glue for this DIY.
STEP – 3:
Once dry, connect the angle end of the two sets together.
STEP – 4:
Sand the holder to make all sides smooth and paint or stain in any color you like. I wanted to leave them as it is in natural wood, so applied 2 coats of Feed n wax using foam brush.
I bought some black napkins to compliment the wood holder. You can keep them handy on a coffee table, dining table or even on side tables. And most importantly, remember that its super easy to make!
If you are looking for Kitchen Paper towel holder to make, I have a wall mounted holder made out of wood and another easy stand made out of cement.
