About the Building:
The entrance to the site is through a unique wright style gate design. The drive way takes you through a curvy road with trees on either sides. You won’t be able to see the beauty of home from the road. It’s like a hidden gem in 10 acres of contour land with beautiful landscapes around.
The horizontality of the structure and the red brick material clearly states Wrights style of design.
Our tour guide was an Architect himself and a fan of wright. He enthusiastically took us all through the house explaining every detail. We were said that the house was built with 3000$ budget. To know more about its history of construction click here.
We were overwhelmed to see the interiors. It’s a single floor house and the entire house has been designed with the geometric module of parallelogram, which reflects in floors, ceilings and every furniture in there. Russell being an artist himself, he built most of the furniture in the house. One thing that caught our eye was the parallelogram shaped bed in the master bedroom. We were like, seriously?? We doubted how would they sleep on it..
The living room opens to a huge patio through a series of wright style doors.

If you visit St. Louis, this is sure a great attraction for people who love architecture & exotic living homes.
To me, I found this house to be cozy, compact with artistic furniture for a couple who wants a relaxing outdoor environment with privacy. It’s like to live in a private resort for life!
